If you’re anything like us, you love growing mushrooms—it’s an incredibly rewarding hobby.

One thing we noticed early on was how expensive many liquid culture kits can be for what you actually receive. That’s why we created a product that offers more value at a more reasonable price.

While many liquid culture kits contain just 250–500ml, we offer both 350ml and 750ml options at competitive prices. Depending on your technique, a single jar has the potential to produce approximately 35–75 syringes of culture.

Product Information

This is a sterile liquid culture solution supplied in a modified jar with:

• Injection port(s)
• Micropose synthetic filter disc(s) for gas exchange (FAE)

Each jar is prepared to order and sterilised with great care to minimise contamination risk. Please allow up to 24 hours processing time before dispatch.

Our liquid culture solution uses a specially developed organic honey-based recipe refined over years of mushroom cultivation, providing excellent nutrition for healthy mycelial growth.

With a single liquid culture or spore syringe, you can potentially multiply your culture many times over, especially when using additional sterile syringes.

If you have a preference for injection port style, send us a message after ordering. Where available, we can provide alternatives at no extra cost, including:

Injection ports are supplied as standard.

Sterility & Usage

We recommend leaving the solution at room temperature for 7 days before inoculation to confirm sterility, although it can be used immediately if preferred.

All products are sealed with autoclave indicator tape. Before use, ensure the stripes have turned black, confirming proper sterilisation temperatures were reached.

Refund & Contamination Policy

In the unlikely event contamination can be confirmed to have originated from our culture solution, we will offer a replacement or full refund for defective, unused products.

Due to the nature of mycology, we cannot replace contaminated products after inoculation, as contamination may occur from external factors including inoculation technique, storage conditions, or workspace cleanliness.

While we take every possible measure to ensure sterility, no supplier can guarantee contamination-free results once a product leaves a controlled environment.

For best results, we recommend:

• Using liquid cultures from reputable sources
• Using clean agar cultures where possible
• Germinating spores on agar before transferring healthy mycelium into liquid culture

Sterile Technique Recommendations

During inoculation:

• Turn off fans and close windows.
• Allow air to settle for approximately 15 minutes.
• Clean your workspace using 70% isopropyl alcohol or soapy water.
• Wipe down the jar lid and injection port before use.
• Clean your hands regularly throughout the process.
• Use a Still Air Box (SAB) or Laminar Flow Hood whenever possible.

Storage & Growth

After inoculation:

• Store in a clean, warm location away from direct sunlight.
• Agitate the culture daily.
• Once the culture reaches approximately 50–75% colonisation, or whenever growth appears sufficient, move it to the refrigerator.

Refrigeration slows growth and helps extend culture lifespan. The earlier it is refrigerated, the longer it can remain viable.

Properly stored cultures typically remain usable for several months and can often last up to a year or longer under ideal conditions.

Shipping Information

A small amount of liquid leakage may occasionally occur during shipping. Minor leakage does not affect performance or sterility.

We package every order carefully, but cannot control how parcels are handled during transit. We are continually improving our packaging to minimise this issue.
